Existing health care delivery system,
both in the public and private sector, was assessed through
Health Facilities Assessment (HFA) in 10 PAIMAN districts.
Overall objective of the assessment was to describe the
availability, functioning and quality of health care delivery
system in the public and private sector with focus on maternal
and newborn services. The HFA report consists of various
chapters on: i) availability of maternal and neonatal health
services, ii) support services for MNH, iii) facility management
support iv) client providers interactions and v) recommendations
for improvement. This document contains the existing situation
of the MNH services within the districts and some specific
recommendations to improve the services. This effort is expected
to guide the district authorities and other development partners
to set their priorities and direct the resources to the weaker
areas.
