JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc., a not-for-profit international organization based in Islamabad is looking for the following professionals for USAID-funded Pakistan Initiative for Mothers and Newborns (PAIMAN) project.
 

 
LOGISTICS OFFICER:
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Identify civil works contractors from the field;
  • Preparation of solicitations documents for civil works in line with the Detailed Estimates received from the field;
  • Review/Revise Detailed Estimates for civil works in accordance with JSI/USAID policies;
  • Collection of quotations/ bids on the prescribed format and preparation of bid analysis;
  • Preparation of contracts and work orders for all civil works;
  • Preparation of Environmental Review Checklists for all health facilities where civil/renovation work;
  • Maintain all records for payments for civil works;
  • Prepare progress reports for ongoing activities;
  • Liaison with contractors for prompt and timely completion of work;
     
 
Position Requirements:

Qualifications: The candidate should have a Bachelors degree (Graduate) or equivalent in Business Administration.

Experience: At least five years experience in the related field, out of which three years must be with any international organization / donor agency. Experience with any civil works related project will be an added advantage.
 
 
Others:
  • Good knowledge of procurement practices and procedures.
  • Experience with USAID procurement rules and regulations will be preferred.
  • Experience of handling civil works projects.
  • Good working knowledge of the MS Office particularly MS Excel will be essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills and written English will be vital.
  • Well organized and well groomed.
