| The Logistics Officer will assist Deputy Director Admin. & Logistics in procurement and logistics functions of JSI PMNH program. She/he will work closely and under the supervision of the Deputy Director Administration & Logistics. She/he will provide support to manage and oversee local as well as off-shore procurement of goods and services of the project. Coordinate and liaise with concerned GOP departments for obtaining visas, exemption certificates and any other documents required from GOP. |
Minimum requirements for the position are:

Graduation.

3 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with international organizations.

Excellent communication and written skills.

Good computer skills.

Familiarity with procurement practices and procedures.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Well organized & well groomed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide assistance in local and off-shore procurements;
- Identify contractors, collection of quotations/ bids, prepare bid analysis;
- Conduct Market Surveys;
- Liaison with contractors for prompt and timely delivery of goods;
- Preparation of Budgets for procurements;
- Co-ordination with PAIMAN field offices for their procurement and logistics requirements;
- Follow-up with the contractors for after sale and service of equipment provided by them;
- Maintain database for reputable vendors and suppliers of goods and services;
- Responsible to maintain updated inventory of all non-expandable items for JSI and Field Offices;
- Carry out periodic checks of the inventory physically;
- Provide assistance in obtaining exemption certificates from EAD;
- Provide assistance in obtaining visas for expatriate staff;
- Provide assistance for clearance of goods from Customs Department;
- Any other task assigned by the management.
